What if nothing I can do is “too” terrible?

What if it was prearranged that when we leave this planet we will return to the pure positive energy from where we came and that nothing we can do while on earth can change this outcome? What if we are loving and compassionate and our stay on Earth will be more enjoyable, but all of us will return to the same energy?
