What if right before birth, the soul enters the body of the child as it is coming down the birth canal? What if the soul has about five years to decide if they want to stay on Earth or return? What if that is about how long the soft spot on the baby’s head, the fontanelle, takes to become solid and after that the child does not have the option of leaving the body effortlessly?
